UNS No.
ASME規格やASTM規格において、材料の詳細な分類を示す番号体系です。
材質の名称については、各メーカーでバラバラの商標名 (例えば、インコネル600とMA600など)を付けているので、規格上の対照がつけにくいものです。
このため、特定の金属材料を表すシリアルNo.として設けられたものがUNS No.です。材種によっては、同じ規格番号で複数のUNS No.を持つものがあり、この場合は、(規格No.+UNS No.)の組み合わせで当該材質を特定します。
例：ASTM B409（インコロイの板規格）には、下記の3つが規定されています。
インコロイ800：UNS N08800
インコロイ800H：UNS N08810
インコロイ800HT：UNS N08811
